This Privacy Policy outlines how Pestoscope collect, use, disclose, and safeguard the sensitive user and device data obtained through our mobile app and website. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information: Pestoscope may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when using our mobile app and website. This includes but is not limited to your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you choose to provide.

1.2 Geo Location: We may collect geo location of your location only when you are sending a query to us. This helps us to give better advise on agriculture and pest control management suitable to that precise location. We collect either approximate or precise location based on your device.

1.3 Photos: We collect photos that you voluntarily agree to send using the pestocope app. Photos of stem, leaf, root or any other part of the plant that is relevant to help us understand your query related to pest management. These photos are collected through two mechanisms:

  1. Camera: Users can take photos using their Camera. The app requests the user to give permission to use Camera features for this purpose. Only after permission is granted, Camera app will be made available to user to take pictures. Additionally, permission to WRITE is also requested and if granted, photos will be temporarily stored before sending to the server.
  2. Files or Photo Gallery: Users can also have option to choose an image that is already on their phones. For this purpose, the app requests the user to grant permission to READ and WRITE permissions. Users may agree to grant this permission.

1.4 Device Information: Pestoscope may collect certain information about your device, including but not limited to your unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, and mobile network information. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the service, track user movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

2.1 Provide and Improve Our Services: Pestoscope may use the information we collect to provide and improve our mobile app and website, respond to user inquiries and requests, personalize user experiences, and enhance the functionality and security of our services.

2.2 Communication: Pestoscope may use your contact information to send you updates, notifications, and marketing communications relating to our products and services. You have the option to unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

3.1 Service Providers: Pestoscope may engage third-party service providers to perform functions and provide services to us. These providers may have access to your personal information only to the extent necessary to perform their functions, and they are obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of that information.

3.2 Legal Compliance: Pestoscope may disclose your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests. Pestoscope  will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any such disclosure, unless prohibited by law or court order.

Pestoscope implement reasonable security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your personal information. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, Pestoscope cannot guarantee absolute security.

Pestoscope mobile app and website are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. Pestoscope do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove the information.

Pestoscope reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy. Pestoscope encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
