Cauliflower mosaic

Caused by: Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV)
Problem Category: Viral Disease
Symptoms: Mosaic patterns on leaves; veinclearing and or veinbanding; stunted plant growth; reduced head size
Comments: Transmitted by various species of aphid including the cabbage aphid, and peach aphid
Management: Control cruciferous weeds which can act as a reservoir for the virus; control aphid populations on plants by applying an appropriate insecticide
Control: spray 2 times 10% Cowdung+Asafoetida solution in 10 days interval to control some extent
