Sclerotinia stem rot
Caused by: Sclerotinia sclerotiorumProblem Category: Fungal Disease
Symptoms: Irregular, necrotic gray lesions on leaves; white-gray leions on stems; reduced pod set; shattering seed pods
Comments: Disease emergence favors moderate to cool temperatures and high humidity
Management: Rotate crop to non-hosts (e.g. cereals) for at least 3 years; control weeds; avoid dense growth by planting in adequately spaced rows.
Control: Spray 10% cow urine extract to control some extent rot symptoms
