Symptoms: Thrips gather in large numbers on the leaves during the new shoot stage, gnaw and suck the sap. Due to this, the shoot leaves are very small and then fall off. During the fruit formation stage, they gnaw the skin on the fruit and suck the sap that comes out. These cause mold on the desirable fruits and the quality of the fruit decreases.
Comments:
Management: For a 15-20 year old tree, give 15-20 kg. Vermicompost, 5 liters of Jivamrutham should be poured into the base and watered. Along with these, it is more beneficial to use 100 g. Azospirillum, 100 g. Phosphobacteria per tree. The growth of the fruit occurs in March-April. During this stage, the base should be watered once every 15-20 days.
Control: Neem oil should be mixed with 2 ml. per liter of water and sprayed on the fruits. Spray a second time at an interval of 10 days as needed. During the dry season, 15-20 g. Water-soluble lime solution should be sprayed on the fruits.
