Caused by: Scolecostigmina mangiferaeProblem Category: Fungal disease
Symptoms: This disease is caused by a fungus called Colletotrichum. Its spread is more frequent during periods of heavy rain or fog. Brown spots form on the leaves, which gradually merge and the leaves quickly turn brown and fall off. Black spots form on young shoots and flower clusters and flowers wither. Black pitted spots form on infected fruits and fruits rot.
Comments:
Management: • Remove and destroy dried branches before the flowering stage. • Spray 1% Bordeaux mixture or 3 grams of copper oxychloride on the trees. • Mix 6 liters of well-fermented sour buttermilk with 100 grams of asafoetida and 100 liters of water and spray the trees twice at an interval of 10 days.
